When visiting Lima, Peru, you’re going to want to stay at a hostel that will help you realize the best the city has to offer. One way to do this is to stay at Condor’s House, one of the best hostels in Lima.

Location

Condor’s House is located in the safe and touristy Miraflores section of Lima. Here you’ll be walking distance from the beach, nightclubs, bars, restaurants, and markets, making travel in the city very convenient. It’s also two blocks from a healthy and enormous grocery store.

Atmosphere

The atmosphere is a very relaxed, bohemian vibe, with lots of places to chill out. They even have live music on Saturday nights. You’ll always find a group of travelers hanging out on the comfy couches, making it easy to strike up a conversation. Although the hostel is in a big city, the atmosphere mixed with the eclectic music always made me feel like I was on an island or beach.

Staff

The staff at Condor’s House were extremely friendly and helpful. When I arrived, the girls at the desk not only helped me choose the perfect tour, they also had my bus ticket to Mancora delivered to the hostel, so I wouldn’t have to pick it up from the bus station. Moreover, staff members were always hanging out with guests, taking them out and showing them the best sites of Lima.

Socialize

It’s easy to make friends at Condor’s House, as there are many common areas. First there is a really lively bar, with great drink specials, like 2-for-1 drinks from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. There’s also a game room, common room, communal kitchen, outdoor area, TV room, snack bar, and BBQ area, so it’s basically impossible not to make new friends.

Free Perks

The most important thing to look at when booking a hostel is the free perks. At Condor’s House, you’ll get free linens, luggage storage, internet, WiFi, hot water, and the best part, breakfast each morning, with various types of breads, butter, jam, and hot beverages.

Overall Impression

I absolutely loved this hostel. The staff is one of the friendliest I have ever experienced. Not only that, but the relaxing atmosphere made me comfortable and at home at all times. Likewise, it’s in a lively and safe location, allowing me to have fun without being worried.
